Description of Sonic Battle GBA
Four thousand years ago, when the ancient civilization was at its peak, they created a weapon of destruction, called the Gizoid, in the form of a robot. But when the discoloration took place, with war everywhere, Gizoid was buried. However, it was discovered by Professor Gerald Robotnik for the purpose of further research. However, it was built using ancient technologies, difficult to analyze and even impossible to operate, so he decided to leave it at Emerald Beach. Sonic later discovered it and used the Emerald to make it work again. But then he discovers that it is a weapon programmed to destroy, and the ability to imitate makes it even more dangerous. Dr. Eggman researched and learned about it. When hatred arose, he wished to awaken the true nature of the Gizoid.
In story mode, battles take place on a 3D map, in one of the following areas: Emerald Town, Holy Summit, Central City, Night Babylon, and Gimme Shelter. The goal that the player must achieve is to defeat the opponent within a limit set by the system, which can be score, time or survivability. In terms of combat, each character will have basic techniques such as punches and kicks, which deal a mid-range effect, while special techniques like Ichikoro’s Mana Consumption will deal high damage to enemies and will has a wider range of influence. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Shadow, Rouge, Rabbit, E-102 Gamma and Chaos are available characters.
They are designed differently not only in appearance, but also in unique fighting techniques, and possess different advantages in many respects. For example, Sonic is fast, Tails can do higher jumps, or Amy has more special damage than all of them.
In addition, there are many other selectable mode options, including a single-player “battle arena”, which allows the player to select unlocked characters for role-playing and any arena. Regarding the multiplayer mode, it will allow connecting with three other GBA devices to fight in hard mode or compete in the arena. Besides that, there are five other minigames:
Speed Demon, Treasure Island, Fly & Get, Soniclash and Mine Hunt for you to explore. They are designed with relatively simple mechanics, the system will give a description or instructions to the player for the first time. However, most of them are unavailable as they are only unlocked when the player has completed certain milestones.
