Description of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga GBA
The story of Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga begins with the theft of Princess Peach’s voice by a witch named Cackletta. Receiving a cry for help, Mario and Luigi went to see Bowser, but he wasn’t the one to do it badly. They then go to the Bean Kingdom and the Queen tells them that Cackletta did this, in order to make Princess Peach a ruler by replacing her voice with gunpowder. Prince Peasley tries to prevent this but unfortunately is turned into a dragon by the witch. If Mario and Luigi can defeat Peasley, he will turn back to humans and guide them to Woohoo Hooniversity.
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga is a game of the RPG genre, combined with an adventure game style. Players will simultaneously control two characters Mario and Luigi to overcome danger to find the ultimate enemy, Cackletta, who stole the voice of Princess Peach. However, the journey is quite long and such risks appear along the way. These include obstacles, traps, and sometimes monsters. Then use the fighting skills of both characters against them. However, the combat mechanics have been replaced with turn-based combat. Each turn,
the player can choose one of four actions: Run, Item, Bros or Solo. Solo uses a single skill, which consists of jumping on top of an enemy or using a hammer to deal damage. Bros is a combo attack that consumes BP (Bros Points) but can deal heavy damage. The skills of Mario and Luigi’s Bros are different, and they are barely available at first. It requires players to complete many stages to unlock.
In addition to unique skills, the characters are also designed with a level system and stats like other role-playing games. Every time they win a battle, they will receive experience points to level up and then are rewarded with points to improve their stats: HP, DEF, SPEED, BP, POW and Stache to become stronger.
Although the difficulty is constantly increasing, if players know how to use their abilities, it will be much easier to overcome. Sometimes use the hammer to fly through the air, cross the abyss, or turn Mario into a small ball and use Luigi’s hammer to send him through small paths. Also, be careful during the move to collect items like mushrooms to restore HP and “1-Up” for extra lives.
