Note: This game is not a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past nor a remake, to put it simply, it takes place in a parallel world with A Link to the Past.
The story begins when Link fights monsters, but he wakes up to realize it was just a dream and he’s too late to forge himself. Arriving at work, he meets a knight and sees him take his shield back and leave, then the blacksmith boss asks Link to chase after the knight to give him the forgotten sword. From there, the real battle begins. Joining the game, you will control Link with a top-down perspective, here you will start the adventure and fight countless other enemies.
The top screen will show you your energy bar, hearts, and actions, while the bottom screen will show a map showing the player the current location along with other gear and items. Your primary weapons are swords and shields, along with other weapons that support ranged attacks, including bows, bombs, and fire sticks.
You can also rent other gear from Ravio’s store for cheap, but that means if you die, you lose the item. Another really cool new mechanic is that your character can walk through walls like a painting on them, which will help you move into areas that are normally inaccessible. In return, your energy bar will quickly deplete.
