Pokemon Retyped Red Rom is a rough hack of Pokemon Red (and Blue) using PokeRed decomposition. The purpose of this hack is simple.
Yuan Pokemon Red (and Blue) was a buggy, speed-focused, unbalanced game mess. Pokemon Retype Dread aims to disrupt a slightly unbalanced game that is buggy and speed-focused!
This hack file is now available on GitHub! Thanks to Lunos for helping me understand all of this git bashing!
At this point, Pokemon: It’s no exaggeration to say that re-entry is more difficult than Pokemon Red and Blue. This is due to significant type changes, updated enemy move pools, and an increase in basic stats for some major Pokemon. Levels haven’t changed much and you can buy items such as TMs and rare candies, but nevertheless, playthroughs have never been more difficult.
