New Lycoris Recoil Anime Announced in this year The original anime “Lycoris Recoil” served as inspiration for a brand-new anime production, according to Aniplex. The new project’s format is yet to be announced. The announcement’s slogan is “Their narrative… has not finished.”
At the “Lycoris Recoil Café Presents After Party! Tomorrow is another day” event earlier in the day, the news was made.
On July 2, the animation Lycoris Recoil made its debut. While it aired in Japan, the anime was broadcast on Crunchyroll, along with an English version. According to Crunchyroll, the anime is:
For these tranquil days, there is a hidden meaning.
“DA – Direct Attack” is a covert group that works to stop crime. “Lycoris” is the name of their all-female agency group. These young females are entirely responsible for their tranquil daily existence. The most powerful Lycoris agent ever is the elite Chisato Nishikigi. Takina Inoue, the gifted but enigmatic Lycoris, is standing next to her. In Café LycoReco, one of its outposts, they collaborate.
The orders this café accepts range from coffee and pastries to babysitting, shopping, instructing foreign students in Japanese, etc. Mostly, Lycoris-unfitting duties are involved.
Chisato, a pacifist who was enthusiastic and free-spirited. And Takina, who is composed and effective. This mismatched couple’s turbulent daily life have just begun!
Since its release, Lycoris Recoil has served as the basis for a stage play, manga adaptation, spin-off light novel, and manga. Hideo Kojima, the developer of Metal Gear Solid, became intrigued by the anime. He regularly tweeted about it and contributed a comment (as well as his image) for the obi of the light book. Kojima also tweeted the introduction video for the new production.
The anime marked Adachi’s directing debut. Adachi has previously worked on Sword Art Online and Wagnaria!! (Working!!) as a character designer and chief animator. Imigimuru (This Art Club Has a Trouble!) and A-1 Pictures developed the anime for television. The narrative was written by Asaura, a Ben-To novelist. Kimika Onai was the designer of the uniforms (Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46 outfits).
Sayuri sang the closing theme song, “Hana no T,” while ClariS sang the opening theme song, “ALIVE” (Flower Tower).
