God of War II is a third-person, action-adventure game that is the sequel to the critically acclaimed game from 2005, God of War. The background of the game is loosely inspired by Greek mythology. created in California by SCE Studio Santa Monica, a game developer for SCEA. This game’s only creative director was David Jaffe, who was also in charge of the previous game’s idea and direction.
