Description of Dragon Ball Z Taiketsu GBA
DRAGONBALL Z – TAIKETSU is a fighting game quite similar to the famous Street Fight that was released before. Basically, its control mechanism is quite simple, in which players will role-play a character to participate in 1vs1 matches.
Players can choose Goku, Vegeta, Krillin or even villains like Buu and Broly. Each character will include basic combat skills, such as more painful punches, kicks or spins. Of course, they also have special skills and anyone who has watched the Anime will surely understand that. Goku can evolve into Super Saiyans 1 and 2, or his signature Kamehameha. Prince Vegeta’s powerful Final Flash attack or Majin Buu’s Chocolate Beam has caused many Saiyan heroes to suffer. However, these techniques will consume Ki resources, indicated by the third status bar at the top of the screen.
During battle, Ki will automatically increase when the character tries to charge or is at rest.
The battles in the game are designed to be quite brief and even the player only takes about 1 minute. The system defaults to 90 seconds, but most of the time the result will be awarded before the time expires. Each character has a health status bar, which continuously decreases as the enemy takes damage. For each win, the system evaluates the battle by points and awards Z (Zeni) points to the winners.
DRAGONBALL Z – TAIKETSU features up to 15 characters, including Goku’s friends and villains from the Anime series. However, there are only 7 of them initially, and more will be unlocked as players complete certain challenges in other game modes. However, even if you have overcome the challenges, they are not free. It requires the player to pay in Zeni units earned from previous wins.
There are 5 game modes for players to choose from, including Endurance, 2x Endurance, Tournament, Time Trial and Sparring. In terms of the level of challenge and the way the battles are organized, there are certain differences. With Tournament, the player must defeat all 7 opponents to win the championship and 25,000 Zeni. But it is not so easy when players have to face very strong opponents like Android 16, Nappa, Raditz or Frieza.
With Endurance mode, players will control a single character to find a way to defeat other opponents, and do not replenish health and respawn every time they are defeated. If you want to challenge with speed and power, the Time Trial mode is a great choice. Each battle only lasts up to 30 seconds, and if the time runs out and the enemy is still not destroyed, the player will be the loser!
